ABOUT ME

Therapy changed my life. I know personally and professionally its healing and transformative power. My education, training, and lived experiences inform my work and how I practice therapy.  I’ve worked hard to accept all parts of myself, heal, and embrace contentment.

As a young child, I was conditioned to be a people-pleaser and struggled with perfectionism, not feeling like enough, and finding my voice.  As a plus-size woman, I’ve grappled to accept my body as an instrument, and not an ornament, and strive toward body neutrality.

My initiation into motherhood was very challenging.
I had my oldest child in my late 30s. I struggled with miscarriages and after navigating a high-risk pregnancy, I became a mother in the early months of the pandemic. At 41, I had my second child. I’m a survivor of postpartum depression. Motherhood has transformed me to my core.

I live in Los Angeles with my husband, two children, dog, and cats.  I use she/her pronouns.  I am a straight, cis, able-bodied, plus-size, queer-allied woman of Northwestern European ancestry.

I am a LGBT+ and gender non-conforming affirming provider. One of my children is gender-expansive.
I am pro-choice and offer a safe space for people to process their abortion experiences.
All are welcome and valued in my practice.

My approach

The cornerstone of effective therapy is the strength of the therapeutic relationship.  I will see you as a whole and unique person informed by your life experiences and the wisdom you carry within. Together, we’ll build a trusting relationship that allows you to feel safe to be vulnerable and share your experiences in a truly judgement-free and warm environment. I’ll journey with you as you make connections, heal, and grow.
